BO BALOU CITYCOONS
aka Mystery

       Mystery      Bo Balou         info ...

Bo Balou Bo Balou Citycoons is purebred: not only Maine Coon, but also Amsterdam! From 'Noord', so you know ...! She has a nice pedigree, that combines well-known and lesser-known Coons. She has a rather long snout, that balances the rest of her large and long body. Her tail is not overly long, but nice bushy. At least, until last Christmas, because then she waved her tail over the Christmas candles. She has a bit of lynx-tips, and nice tufts, and she embodies the Maine Coon myth: she is B I G.

On shows her performance is variable. Also because, energetically as she is, she does not co-operate with the show-preparations. She did not go to show this year: what use would that be, a Coon with a burned-down tail? Twice she went to a Fifé show: extra adventurous as an independent cat! In September 2001 she went to the kitten-day of the RMC, and got U1 and BIV! In a class of 9 kittens a result to be proud of! Since Nidoba is affiliated with Neocat (an 'independent'), we had not groomed Bo Balou (well, a bit: while renovating the kitchen she had up-ended the bottle with olive-oil. How did Jewel and Cheyenne like her!). That did cost us some points on this kittenday, that worked by FiFé-rules, but, hey, what the heck ... In November 2002 we went to a Felikat-show (Fifé), where she was Bo Balou's father judged by the same judge. This time, the preparation was tip-top, but again 'fats' were her downfall. Now because, temporarily on 'the pill', she had joined her friend Jewel at the feeding through. Again, hey, what the heck ...

Now she is 3 years old, and has borne the responsibilities of a mother. In fact, now and then she still tries to take these responsibilities, what the other cats sincerely regret! But then she starts playing with her daughter, and everything is forgotten! Her tail - probably some skin was burned as well, because he never became as full again as it was. This winter we did 2 shows, together with her daughter, and well - in spite of the tail she is a beautiful cat, so she is a champion now. Now we are going to keep quieet - this fall, who knows, another boy friend?
